Talkfirst is a speaking-practice app with an AI partner, reachable as a web app, a Telegram Mini App, and an MCP connector for AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Le Chat).

What we collect

• Account: email address or Telegram id and name, however you signed in.
• Learning data: flashcards, vocabulary, quiz and conversation history, lesson progress.
• Speech: audio recordings of your pronunciation attempts and conversation turns, and their transcripts.
• Usage events: which features you use and when, to show your progress and enforce plan limits.

Who processes it

• ElevenLabs — speech-to-text and text-to-speech for practice and reference audio.
• OpenRouter / Anthropic — the conversation partner and the analysis of your speech and mistakes.
• Cloudflare — network and login-code email delivery.
• Telegram — sign-in via Telegram and Pro subscription payments (Telegram Stars).

We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

Storage and retention

All data is stored on our own server in the EU (Hetzner) until you ask us to delete your account. We keep it to show your progress and let you continue where you left off — there is no separate retention timer.
